INGA & ANUSH ARSHAKYANS 2009

Inga and Anush Arshakyans represented Armenia in Eurovision Song Contest in 2009. The song “Jan Jan” was written by Mane Hakobyan, Vardan Zadoyan and Avet Barseghyan. The sisters scored 92 points and won the 10-th place.

Anush Arshakyan

Anush graduated from S. Aslamazyan music school, department of piano.
After she developed her talent in Arno Babajanyan Music College in Yerevan from 1997 to 2001. Anush studied vocal in  The Yerevan State Conservatory after Komitas department of jazz-vocal.
In 1994 she participated in the "Sonorous voices" contest in Omsk and took the 1st prize. At the same contest she took the Audience Choice Award. On May 6, 1999 she performed for the first time as a soloist accompanied by the State Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir of Armenia.

Inga Arshakyan

Inga graduated from  S. Aslamazyan music school. From 1998 to 2002 she studied in the violin department of Arno Babajanyan Music College in Yerevan.
Along with the studies she worked at the G. Atchemyan violinist ensemble. From 2002 to 2005 she studied in jazz-vocal department of the Komitas State Conservatory in Yerevan.
In 1998, Inga joined her sister and together they started to promote their repertoire, which included not only duets, but also arias, where the violin played an important role.

As a duo

Inga and Anush sing and compose since their childhood. They perform jointly on the professional stage since 2000.
They acted together in the State Song Theatre of Armenia. Starting from 2003 they perform also as solo singers. They spread Armenian music in the USA, Teheran, London, Paris, Russia and Germany etc.

From 2008 Inga and Anush Arshakyans onwards, they are cooperating with SHARM Holding.
