HAYKO 2007
Hayko represented Armenia in Eurovision Song Contest in 2007. He gathered 138 points and won the 8th place with the song “Anytime you need” written by Hayko and Karen Kavaleryan.
Both a singer and a composer, Hayko studied music at a school after T.Chukadjyan, Romanos Melikyan music college. He has also attended the Yerevan State Conservatory after Komitas.
In 1996 he participated in the "Moskva 96" ("Moscow 96") festival and was awarded the 1st prize, in 1997 won the 1st prize at the "Big Apple" festival in New York, USA. In 1998 was acknowledged as "the best author - performer" at the "Ayo" (“Yes”) author's competition.
In 1999 Hayko was nominated for the “Best singer" award. In 1999 he recorded his first CD called "Romance" in which Armenian "city" songs were included.
In 2002 he was nominated at the "Armenian National Music Competition" as

- The best project
- The best album
In 2003 he was nominated for "The best DVD" and gave his first solo concert at the "Alex theatre" in the USA. Later that year, on May 27, he gave a solo performance in Yerevan and recorded a DVD called "Live concert"
In 2003 he recorded his CD called "Norits" ("Again") as an author for the first time. He became the Best Singer 2003 and 2006 at the annual Armenian National Music Awards.
He is also the music composer for the films “Don’t Be Scared”, “Nothing Will Remain”, “The Killed Pigeon” and “The Memoir of A Cross-Stealer”.
