EVA RIVAS 2010
Eva Rivas represented Armenia in Eurovision Song Contest in 2010. She scored 141 points and took the 7-th place with the song “Apricot Stone” written by Armen Martirosyan and Karen Kavaleryan.
Eva Rivas was born on July 13, 1987 in Rostov-on-Don. She took her stage name Eva Rivas from her Greek grandmother. From 1996-2004 she used to be a soloist in one of the most famous youth ensembles in Rostov called Arevik. In 2000 the ensemble Arevik was awarded the title of the Ensemble of the Year. She sang both classical and variety of songs in Armenian, Russian and foreign languages. As a solo singer, Eva was repeatedly a laureate in different contests and compositions.
2005 marked a year of new achievements in Eva’s career. She was awarded the titles of Golden Voice of Rostov and Miss Pearl of Don. Likewise, she gained the title of Vice-Miss of the Caucasus in Yerevan.
The same year, she was awarded the first prize at the annual Armenian Song of the Year contest. In 2008, Eva started her cooperation with the Armenian Production producing centre. In 2009 she shot a music video for the song “Tamam Ashkharh” written by Armenian world known composer Sayat-Nova. The music video eventually gained wide acclaim both within Armenia and abroad.
