ANDRE 2006

Andre was the first to represent Armenia in Eurovision Song Contest 2006. He gathered 129 points and won the 8th place with the song “Without your love” written by Catherine Bekian and Armen Martirosyan.

Andre was born in Stepanakert, the capital of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.

At the age of 6 he entered Stepanakert Music School after Komitas where he took piano classes. Only 3 years later Andre wrote his first song “Prayer” which he dedicated to God. During the years of Artsakh war Andre sang in "Artsakh children" youth ensemble, which performed in different military units. At the age of 15 Andre first took part in "Road to Renaissance" competition as a solo performer and became a laureate. This was the start of his music career.

The "Road to Renaissance" competition was followed by concerts in Artsakh, Armenia and victories in different international competitions: Donetsk, Mogilyev, Moscow, Almaty, Shanghai, California, Iran, Georgia... and this is not the whole list of countries where Andre has performed in concerts and competitions.

Andre is a winner in numerous song competitions. He has been awarded with many silver and gold medals, his songs are always on leading positions in music charts. Most importantly, Andre has won the love and appreciation of thousands of fans in Armenia and abroad.

Andre was twice awarded “ best male singer” in Armenian National Music Awards.
