The representative of Armenia in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2010 Vladimir Arzumanyan took the honorary first place, scoring 120 points. The contest took place in  Minsk, the capital of Belarus, on November 20. Vova won the jury’s’ and the audience sympathy with his song “Mama”.


The song dedicated to the “piano player girl” was especially appreciated by Ukraine, Sweden, Russia and Belgium, and Armenia won the most 12 points during the competition. Vova is the author of the music and the lyrics of the song, the producer of which was famous Canadian-Armenian music producer Derhova. He was also the producer of Sirusho’s song “Qele,qele”.


Vladimir Arzumanyan was born in a family of musicians in Stepanakert on May 26, 1998. He began singing at the age of 6 and has already managed to take part in a number of Armenian and international competitions. He achieved diplomas in pan-Armenian festival “Karot” and in the festival named after Arno Babajanyan.  In summer of 2010 he achieved the third place prize in junior “New Wave” competition. Sometimes Vova uses the stage name “Vov-1”.


Now Vova sings in Armenian, Russian, English and Italian. He dreams of singing a duet with his favorite singer Stevie Wonder. Besides music, he is also interested in football and karate. He has  a brown belt. He also dreams of becoming the “singing” president of their Football Club. Vladimir believes that one day a “time machine” will be invented and enjoys parodying famous people. He prefers jeans and all the shades of green.
