Eurovision song contest

 Eurovision Song Contest 2014 Eurovision Song Contest took place in Copenhagen after Denmark won 2013 Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Only Teardrops” performed by Emilie de Forest. Aram Mp3 was chosen by internal selection to represent Armenia in 2014 Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Not Alone”, co-written with Garik Papoyan. Aram was announced to be presenting Armenia in 31st of December of 2013, and the song was announced several months later, on March 14th 2014.
Aram was the first to perform in the semi-final on the 6th of May in Copenhagen City Hall. He placed 4th in the semi-final with the total of 121 points. In the final, he was decided to be the 7th to perform, followed by Romania. During the performance Aram stood alone on the stage, the atmosphere changed from dark to explosive elements projected on the screens on the stage. In the final, Armenia was placed 4th, with the total of 174 points. First three places shared Austria (Conchita Wurst “Rise Like a Phoenix”, 290 points), Netherlands ( The Common Linnets “Calm After The Storm”, 238 points) and Sweden( Sanna Nielsen “Undo”, 218 points) respectively.
Aram is one of the most popular and hard-working persons in Armenian Television. Since childhood he was involved in different choirs and theatrical performances and dreamt of big stage. Even after entering the Yerevan State Medical University, he didn’t quit performing and was an active member of the KVN comedy club, which was one of the first university comedy clubs in Armenia. Later, he joined several comedy shows, started to perform live in jazz and blues clubs and host famous TV formats such as X-factor, Armenian Idol, My name is. Now he is a very famous singer, known both in and outside of Armenia for his ability to sing songs of a very wide vocal range, also he is a very well-known song-writer.
