Possible options for Junior Eurovision 2012 host country were discussed during the meeting of the heads of delegations taken place in Armenia on October 15.
According to the decision of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) JESC 2012 host country will be the Netherlands. The right to host the Contest was given to the Dutch broadcaster “Avro”.
The day and the city of next year’s Contest are not known yet. The supervisor of Junior Eurovision Sietse Bakker noted that the EBU hopes that the number of participating countries will increase next year.
“Avro” broadcasting company has already hosted Junior Eurovision once. In 2007 the Contest was held in Rotterdam.
In accordance with the decision made by the European Broadcasting Union, this year the right to host Junior Eurovision was granted to Public Television broadcasting company in Armenia.
