Lidiya Zablotskaya: Interview with the Representative of Belarus
10.11.2011

-Lidiya, how did you decide to take part in Junior Eurovision?

- I have dreamed to represent Belarus in Junior Eurovision Song Contest since my childhood. I have participated in many contests, concerts and festivals since I was 4 years old and in 2010 for the first time I decided to practice my skills in the national selections of the contest “A Song for Eurovision” and took the 4-th position. I think one should not stop. We should do our bests to realize our ambitions. Just for this reason I made up my mind once again to participate in this contest.

-Would you, please, speak a little about your song? What message do you want to transfer to your audience?

-I have called my song “The Angels of Kindness”. I want to invoke people to do kindness in order to destroy the wickedness from the world. The angels of kindness are the people, who protect the world. Just under their wings we are safe from any type of unhappiness and wickedness. The power of kindness is very huge. It leads to magical things and is able to give warmth even to the coldest hearts.

-Who helps you to get ready for the JESC?

- My vocal teacher Tatyana Galinovskaya and my choreograph Alesia Tkachonok are helping me. I think I couldn’t have managed to get a “ticket” to the contest in Yerevan without their help and contribution. I also would like to mention that both Tatyana Galinovskaya and Alesi Tkachonok are young mothers (Tatyana’s son is only 1-months-old and Alesia’s child is 8-months-old). Although they are very busy with their kids they help me to get ready for the Contest. My parents, my brother and sister, my friends, my relatives and close people are also supporting me.

-What makes your song different from other participants’ songs?

-All the participants’ songs are devoted to the most important things of the world: kindness, friendship and love. My song is not an exception. As to the differences, I think that there are not many lyrical songs involved in the Contest. My song is a lyrical one. It calls all people to be kind.

-In your opinion, which song is the best during the whole history of Junior Eurovision?

-I follow the Contest every year and I think that all the participants have represented their countries as proper and with interesting songs. Last year I liked the performances of the representatives of Armenia, Georgia and Serbia.

-Who are your music idols?

-I love Lara Fabian, Christina Aguilera and Ani Lorak.

-And what about your future plans? Are you going to continue the career of singer?

-I don’t want to go too forward but I won’t stop in the middle of the path. I will continue participating in contests and will practice my vocals. I dream of receiving higher musical education and giving joy to people with my music.  I will do my best to become a professional singer.

-Would you like to take part also in Eurovision Song Contest?

-Of course, I would like to. I have only to get a little older.
