-Kristall, how did you decide to take part in Junior Eurovision Song Contest?
- I wanted to participate in JESC 2010 but I didn’t manage then because my little sister was born(I have two sisters). So, I decided to take my chance in 2011 and my dream came true.
- What makes your song different from the others’ and why should the viewers specifically vote for it?
-I think my song differs with its meaning, music and show. And it’s not necessary for the viewers to vote for me. Everyone has his own opinion and taste. Nevertheless, I hope that the viewers like my song, as my team and I are working very hard.
-Have you listened to the songs of the other participants?
-I haven’t managed to listen to the songs of all participants. I like Katya Ryabova from Russia, Racheal from the Netherlands and Dalita Avanesyan from Armenia. I often listen to their songs.
-Who helped you in writing the song?
-A few people helped me to write the song, and, by the way, I’m very thankful to them. I have thought a lot about the theme of the song and had an idea to write a song about Europe. After that came the “Pa-pa-pa Europa”. As a result we had a very simple song which can be understood by many people.
-Who are your music idols?
-To tell the truth, I like to listen to different music, because I learn from each one of them. I like listening to Rihanna, Shakira, Beyonce and Britney Spears. I like the way Shania Twain sings and energizes the audience. I try to learn a lot from Mariah Carey as well.
-What plans do you have for the future? Will you continue the singing career?
-From the very beginning of my creative journey I had already made up my mind to become a singer. I felt it was mine. And even after the JESC I will continue participating in different contests, concerts, TV programs and commercials. But the most important thing is that I want to receive higher education and develop exactly in this field.
-Would you like to participate in Eurovision Song Contest?
-Yes, I would like to very much. I think I will participate when I’m 20 years old, of course, if I don’t change my mind till then. It is a very interesting contest.
-If you were in the professional jury, what would you mostly pay attention to when choosing the winner?
-I think I would pay attention to the meaning of the song, music, the artist’s performance, vocals and the image. Also I would attentively watch after my favorites to see how they behave, how they treat other participants. All this is very important.
-Have you ever been to Armenia?
-Unfortunately I have never been to Armenia. But I now try to learn more about your country, I study some words. My mother was born in your neighbor Georgia, then she moved to Ukraine with her parents. She has told me a lot about the kindness and warmth of southern people. I have many Armenian friends in Kiev. We were studying together until I was transferred to another school. They all are very nice and clever people. I know that your country is famous for its hospitality, beautiful nature, high mountains and rich history. Even some years won’t be enough to tell about all Armenian sights. I dream about visiting your wonderful land.
-What do you expect from the Contest?
-I hope we will make good friends with all participants, and there will not be any competition between us, as it’s the most important thing in friendship.
-Can you reveal some secrets about your show?
-I don’t have any special secrets. Just watch our show live on December 3 and you’ll find everything out. I will just say it’s going to be very interesting!
