-How did you decide to take part in JESC 2011?
-I really love to sing, dance and perform on stage!! Last year my sister Ymke was selected for the Belgian national finals. And following the adventures of my sister, I wanted to become a junior as well!! So I took my chance and here I am!
- What inspired you when writing the song?
-My favorite song is Pack up from Eliza Doolittle. It inspired me for my song ‘Eenkusjemeer’. My song is about my first kiss. It didn’t happen yet because I’m too young. But my 2 big sisters talk about it and I’m wondering how it would be...
- Have you listened to other participants' songs? And if so, do you have any favorites among them?
-I’ve heard all songs and I like most of them! I also like the act of the Armenian song.
- What do you think, what makes your song different from other songs, and why the TV-viewers shall vote for your song?
-My song takes you to the years 1960 and it brings joy to everybody. Maybe people will vote for me because it’s a happy song.
- Do you follow Eurovision Song Contest, and if so, is there any participant from ESC with whom you would like to have a duet?
-My family and I are big fans of the Eurovision Song Contest and we watch it every year. In 2010 Lena won the show and that made me so happy because she had a great song. My biggest wish is to sing a duet with her.
- Have you ever been to Armenia or do you have Armenian friends?
-No, I have never been to Armenia. At school there are 2 Armenian girls and they told me a lot of nice things about Armenia.
-What do you expect from the Contest?
-I’m looking forward to it and I can’t wait to meet the other candidates! It will be a fabulous adventure and I will enjoy it a lot ;-)!
