Emmy will represent Armenia in Eurovision 2011 with the song “Boom-Boom” (music by Apricota, lyrics by Sosi Khanikyan, arrangement by Ara Torosyan). This choice became known on 5 March live on The First Channel during Armenian National Selection.
Armenian Public Television has received about 70 songs from different countries of the world. The 4 best songs (“Boom-Boom” by Apricota, “Ayo” by DerHova, “Hi” by Vahram Petrosyan, “Goodbye” by Martin Kesici) were performed live by Emmy leaving the choice on the audience and professional jury.
The concert opened the winner of Junior Eurovision 2010 Vladimir Arzumanyan. The hosts were a famous anchor /eHad of Armenian Delegation ESC 2011 Gohar Gasparyan and a beloved actor/anchor Khoren Levonyan.
Before presenting the songs to the audience, a draw was held according to which the running order of the songs was chosen. Immediately after performing the songs, the voting started, during which Emmy’s friends- Andre (Eurovision 2006), Hayko (Eurovision 2007), Sirusho ( Eurovision 2008) came to support her. The special guest Avraam Russo with Vladimir Arzumanyan announced the wining song. The sms voting was organized by ” Nikita Mobile”company.
So, the envelop opened stating “Boom-Boom’s” victory. Her performance on the Eurovision stage Emmy will dedicate to her father’s Davit Bejanyan’s memory.
